Ski Mountaineering Course

For those who are new to ski mountaineering. How does the equipment work? How do you traverse steep terrain? Ski technique? Avalanche safety gear? What do you need in you backpack? Choice of route? Terrain? Avalanche hazard? These are questions which are raised and practiced during the course.

Description

The course for those just starting out with ski mountaineering. We provide a sold introduction in the use of different equipment. Everything from skiing technique down to choice of route on the way up. We cover avalanche safety equipment and look at the optimal contents of you backpack. There will also be an introduction to avalanche hazards with a focus on different types of terrain.
