The North Ridge of Vågakallen is a legendary adventure that starts at sea level and takes you all the way to the summit of Vågakallen.

The journey up the North Ridge starts in Djupfjorden near Henningsvær. From here, we hike through spectacular terrain to the base of the climb, which takes approximately 1.5–2 hours. At the base, 14 pitches of climbing await. The hardest sections are graded 4+, but most of the route consists of easy scrambling.

Suitable for
This tour is suitable for experienced hikers. It is a long day that requires good physical fitness and comfort with heights. No climbing experience is required, but it is definitely an advantage.

I had no climbing experience at all, but Vegard was patient enough for us to take our time in the climb, ensured to tell us all about the safety and gave tips on how to climb the tough parts!
