Experience Norway’s coolest goat
Would you like to experience Norway’s coolest goat, Svolværgeita? Join us for a fantastic guided mountain climbing adventure in Lofoten with experienced and certified mountain guides from I Fri Natur. We guarantee great climbing, a sense of achievement, a safe environment, and views that will take your breath away.
The hike and climb
The tour starts with a briefing at the parking area below Svolværgeita, where the climbing equipment is fitted and expectations are clarified. Here, we talk through the tour and get ready for the adventure.
We then head up the Sherpa steps. We walk at a relaxed pace so we can enjoy the surroundings, get to know each other and gain an understanding of what lies ahead.
After approximately 40 minutes of hiking, we reach the foot of Svolværgeita. From here, we climb two pitches towards the horns. The route is graded around 4+, offering fantastic rock climbing with beautiful views over Vestfjorden and the Lofoten mountains.
The climbing can feel steep and exposed, especially for those with a fear of heights. We will support you throughout, and if you face any challenges, we will do everything we can to guide you in a calm and reassuring way.
At the top, we capture the moment with photos and take a short break before abseiling back down to the base of the climb. From there, we make our way happily back towards Svolvær.
